?We?ve received some positive news from the Agency for Health Care Administration,? said Ernie, the local coordinator in Pensacola.

?The number of abortions continues to decline,? he said. In fact, they are now at the lowest point since 1975. ?Since 40 Days for Life began in Pensacola there has been a 47% drop in the number of abortions in Escambia County, Florida!?

Ernie says this is extremely encouraging. ?It means we are winning,? he said.? It means our time on the sidewalk in prayer and our mother centered efforts are working. It means our collaboration with local pregnancy resource centers and other groups is making a BIG impact!?

It is an affirmation that the volunteers? efforts, through God?s grace are not in vain. ?God is healing our land one life at a time. He is hearing our prayers and answering them.?

But it also means a lot of work must be done. ?We must continue to reach out to our precious mothers in our community, so that they will never feel the need to abort their child,? Ernie said. ?We must help make abortion unnecessary and unthinkable to any woman in our area. Someday soon, in God?s time, the reported number will be zero!?
