The pro-life movement has lost a GIANT in Chris Slattery, who recently passed away after battling cancer. May he rest in peace.
Chris founded New York City's first pregnancy help centers, saving tens of thousands of lives. He also brought 40 Days for Life to the Big Apple, leading campaigns in the Bronx and Queens.
Chris exhorted pro-lifers everywhere to lead 40 Days for Life campaigns in their communities. "I don't care where you're from; you can do this," he said. "We can do it in the abortion capital of America. You can do it in the Heartland."
Check out my tribute video to Chris, which includes an iconic interview with him from Abortion Row--a neighborhood with SEVEN abortion facilities where abortion workers hawk abortion to passersby in the streets daily:

Chris has left this world--but his legacy remains. 40 Days for Life has experienced some of our most dramatic growth across the New York City area, with two 40 Days for Life 365 campaigns in Manhattan as well as new campaigns in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, all across Long Island, and beyond.
"Don't tell me you can't do this," Chris said as only Chris could. "None of us have been slugged. None of us have been put in the slammer! Get out there. Go to 40daysforlife.com. Lead an effort!"
Take Chris's word for it and apply to lead your community in 40 days of prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigil this February 14-March 24 at the abortion facility in your community:
We have to keep God in mind every moment, praying before, during, and after our work, always offering it for God's glory. These are God's children.
