This is a sad email to share a sad reality that I once again witnessed in front of an abortion facility.
Sabrina began to choke up after making a few announcements to the crowd during my visit to her Tampa 40 Days for Life vigil site.
Her change in tone and demeanor was due to the sight of the Stericycle truck pulling up to the abortion facility to pick up the remains of the aborted babies.
Sabrina's tears were the appropriate response to such a scene.
As she began to tear up, she muttered softly to the crowd, “We need to be silent and pray.” Many shared her tears.
As portrayed in the movie Unplanned, these trucks serve as a sobering reminder of the grim reality of abortion and our commitment to not forget one baby who is discarded and put into a canister.
Abortion is brutal, and the heartfelt response from prayer volunteers outside showed the love required to end it.
Washington, D.C.
Vigil participants in the nation's capital were treated to a visit from Bishop Joseph Coffey, the auxiliary bishop for the Military Archdiocese.
A longtime pro-life activist, Bishop Coffey told vigil participants he expected Roe v. Wade to be overturned long ago, but that no matter how long it takes, it's critical to maintain a peaceful, prayerful presence outside of abortion facilities.
He also encouraged vigil participants to invite clergy to join them in prayer at local 40 Days for Life vigils.
Waco, Texas
There's nothing more pro-life than a birthday.
40 Days for Life Director of Medical Affairs & Education and former abortion provider Dr. Haywood Robinson spent his birthday visiting a campaign event in Waco.
"The spiritual energy in Waco was palpable," Dr. Robinson said. "God's people are 'pumped' and ready to get behind God to see His victory."
I beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness, and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.
— Ephesians 4:1b-2
Dear Heavenly Father, we are humbled that you have called us and appointed us to be ambassadors of Christ in a world that is not our home. We pray that your Holy Spirit will empower us to walk worthy of the calling. We pray that Your unconditional love will flow through us to those who desperately need Your saving grace.
