Chicago isn't shy about being the abortion capital of the Midwest.
Billboards advertising "Chicago's #1 abortion provider" can be found throughout the city.
But 40 Days for Life Campaign Director Steve Karlen recently returned from Chicago, where he spoke at a rally celebrating the closure of the abortion facility where 40 Days for Life participants held vigil.

As James prayed in front of Planned Parenthood, a woman stopped her car to ask him about whether he was pro-life even in cases of rape.
When James replied that the unborn child is always innocent, the woman suggested that a baby conceived in rape would be a scar--a constant reminder of the assault.
"That innocent human being might also be an opportunity for love to heal the wounds of the injustice done to the victim," James responded.
The woman thanked him for his compassionate reply and drove away!
Downers Grove, Illinois
"We had a different kind of save this week!" exclaimed Caron, the 40 Days for Life leader in Downers Grove.
For the second time in as many weeks, somebody had stolen the yard signs in the public right-of-way outside the local abortion facility.
But a good Samaritan followed the thief and returned to tell volunteers their signs had been placed in a dumpster several blocks away.
"Allison, one of our volunteers who claimed to be proficient in dumpster diving from college, along with Joe, one of our leaders, were able to save all of our signs!" Caron reported.
The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne.
