"I just want you to know you are doing the right thing," a young woman pushing a baby carriage told 40 Days for Life vigil participants.
"I came here last year for an abortion, and there were some people praying."
The Manchester, New Hampshire campaign volunteers brought the mom to the pregnancy center up the street, where she received the help she needed to choose life.
"I have my baby now--all because someone was here. My cousin came for an abortion, and no one was here praying. She had her abortion."
When a vigil participant admired the woman's adorable one-month-old baby sleeping in the carriage, the mom added, "And I've gone back to church."
The Manchester team is hopeful many more babies are being saved, especially given that Planned Parenthood closed on abortion day due to "ongoing sewage backup problems."
Louisville, Kentucky
Manchester 40 Days for Life volunteers weren't the only ones to discover an unexpectedly closed abortion facility. Carol in Louisville reported the last abortion facility in Kentucky was closed on a recent Saturday.
"On a typical Saturday, there can be 20+ women who enter the doors," she said. "Today there were NONE! Please storm Heaven this weekend, that those women who were scheduled to be there today see this as a sign to keep their baby!"
York, Pennsylvania
It was pouring rain on abortion day in York...
"....but nothing will stop us from pouring out our prayers to our Lord to stop the killing of our most innocent brothers and sisters," proclaimed Tom, the local leader.
It's the fifth campaign in York, and those prayers are being answered. Planned Parenthood used to be open Monday through Friday. Now it's down to just three days a week!
Burlington, Vermont
You won't find a lot of places more difficult to host a 40 Days for Life campaign than Vermont. Nevertheless, Agnes in Burlington said pro-life momentum is building.
"There are about two dozen new participants," she said. "We are covering twice as many hours as last time."
Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgressions of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us; and will subdue our iniquities.
— Micah 7:18-19
Hear our prayer of repentance, Lord, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We praise you for your tender mercies and your compassion that never fails. Lord, it is only by Your grace that we can live lives that are just, and merciful.
May Your Holy Spirit enable us to walk humbly in Your presence and may You be pleased to restore our nation so that a generation not yet born may praise you.
