Liverpool is home to one of England's busiest abortion facilities...
...but even as the local abortion center ends about 5,000 lives annually, the city hasn't had a strong pro-life presence in years. Liverpool's 40 Days for Life team is changing that.
"This is a crucial, critical time to get this right," said 40 Days for Life Director of International Campaigns Robert Colquhoun.
So far, so good! Praying through a hailstorm, Margaret saved a life through her faithful witness.
"Thank you! Thank you Thank you!" shouted an expectant mother at vigil participants. "I've been asking for a sign and I saw you. Thank you! Thank you!"
Margaret told the young mom, "Go home, sweetheart, and love your baby," and noted that the mom seemed to "float up the road with relief."
On today's video blog, Robert takes a closer look at how peaceful prayer is transforming Liverpool.

Nashville, Tennessee
Bachelorette parties have a reputation for being less than wholesome...
...but that wasn't the case for a bride in Nashville, who brought her bachelorette party to Planned Parenthood to pray for an end to abortion.
"The women prayed in English, Spanish, and Latin," said Kathleen, who leads the Nashville campaign. "It was pretty amazing and so beautiful."
Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Abortion is illegal in Honduras, but Western pressure to accept it is fierce. The 40 Days for Life team in Tegucigalpa is praying to keep their country pro-life.
Even in countries where abortion is prohibited, some children still lose their lives to illegal pregnancy terminations.
Recently, campaign volunteers spent a day praying at their vigil site before visiting a garden created to honor the lives of six aborted babies who are buried there.
Buffalo, New York
Buffalo's leadership team recently received a note from a mom thanking them for their daily witness.
After four years of struggling with infertility, the new mother gave birth to twins--prematurely--this summer. The newborn babies have been in the hospital since they were born.
"Every morning while driving to the hospital, I pass your peaceful protest and cry," the mother said. "I wish I could be there with you all."
The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne.
— Revelation 12:4-5 3
O God, from generation to generation, you have called your people to be the very aroma of life amidst a culture of death. Now it is our turn. Prepare me. Send me. Use me. I am eager to do my part. Stir your people everywhere to take up this great work.
