Vigil participants at the Columbia, South Carolina 40 Days for Life vigil noticed a sign taped to the door of their local Planned Parenthood announcing...
...the abortion facility was closed for the day!
The state had just enacted a law banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected, forcing Planned Parenthood to shut down.
If abortion makes up only 3% of Planned Parenthood's services (as the abortion giant likes to claim), why did the entire facility need to close?
“There are usually about 20 abortions on abortion day," said Columbia campaign leader Mark. “But none of them will happen today.”
And at least one of the would-be abortion clients won't be coming back to Planned Parenthood!
"One of the moms that came for her abortion went to our [pro-life] OB/GYN and got an ultrasound," Mark reported. "She said she is going to keep the baby."
While a judge suspended enforcement of the heartbeat law, hopefully many more Planned Parenthood customers decide not to reschedule their abortion appointments.
Columbia wasn't the only abortion facility to unexpectedly cease doing abortions for a day. It happens all the time when God's people show up to pray at a local 40 Days for Life vigil!
Redding, California
"We had at least 30 people show up on the first day of the campaign," wrote the local 40 Days for Life team. "Last fall, the clinic didn’t do any abortions on the first day of the campaign...Once again, they didn’t do any abortions on Day 1!"
Vigil participants who pray year-round have noticed a trend: the number of abortion days is declining.
"We have seen three weeks in the last two months where they didn’t do their Wednesday abortions," the team continued. "What a great answer to prayer. God is moving."
Reno, Nevada
Abortions usually take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Reno...
...but this past Wednesday, no babies lost their lives at the abortion facility.
"Thankfully, none of the prayer warriors witnessed the doctor go into the facility today," said Lauren, the local leader. "Only the workers went inside, so no appointments either!"
The number of volunteers participating at the Reno vigil is outstanding, with prayer warriors traveling more than an hour and a half to join the vigil.
"The turnout has been inspiring, and we are confident God sees and God knows and He will help these women!" Lauren said.
I beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness, and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.
— Ephesians 4:1b-2
Dear Heavenly Father, we are humbled that you have called us and appointed us to be ambassadors of Christ in a world that is not our home. We pray that your Holy Spirit will empower us to walk worthy of the calling. We pray that Your unconditional love will flow through us to those who desperately need Your saving grace.
