Did the legalization of abortion reduce crime by eliminating future criminals before they were born?
That's the argument made by authors of the bestselling book Freakonomics.
Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner claim that inner city minorities are the demographic most likely to have abortions and to commit crimes.
They say that the unwanted children who would have reached the prime of their criminal careers in the 1990s were instead aborted, resulting in a sharp drop in crime.
It's an insane--and racist--theory, but more than a decade-and-a-half after Freakonomics hit the shelves, many abortion advocates still use it to justify killing children.

A couple who attended the 2018 event recently learned that a friend across the country was planning to have an abortion. When they encouraged her to choose life, the abortion-minded woman cut off contact.

A tall man wearing a cowboy hat jumped out of his pickup truck and thrust his phone in front of a 40 Days for Life vigil participant.
"See that boy there?" the man said of the photo on his screen. "That boy is my Grandson! He’s seven and the love of my life. He’s everything to me! And he is here because of you folks!"
Years ago, the man's daughter was inside Planned Parenthood, about to have an abortion. Then, she hesitated.
"I can’t do this," she said. "They are out here praying. They’re praying for me to God. I can’t do it!"
The San Luis Obispo team said the man then put his phone back in his pocket, leaped back into his truck, and left.
You have heard it was said, ‘you shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Heavenly Father, may we reflect your character of grace and kindness to those who hate us and curse us. Guard our hearts and our tongues as we respond in love to words and actions meant to rile us or cause us harm. Let others see the Hope that is Christ in all we say and do.
