Tomislav Čunović started the first 40 Days for Life campaign in Frankfurt, Germany in 2017.
It hasn't been easy. Tomislav and his team have withstood obstacles--from attacks by satanists to 150-metre buffer zones, smoke bombs, and incantations...
...but they continue to expand pro-life prayer and witness in Frankfurt, which is now hosting its 10th 40 Days for Life campaign.
"At this challenging point for the pro-life movement in Germany, a growing number of young participants is showing up on the street to pray," said Markus, who now leads the Frankfurt vigil. "It’s such a gift to know that the fruit of prayer is not dependent on political tactics but on the love of God."
After years of leading the Frankfurt campaign, Tomislav married the Colombian national 40 Days for Life director.
He then stepped up to serve as 40 Days for Life's executive director of international affairs. His experience practicing both business and pro-life law in Germany as well as his campaign leadership have Tomislav well-positioned to help save more lives in Europe--and around the world.
Vienna, Austria
Vienna is hosting its first-ever 40 Days for Life campaign--and it's a 24-hour vigil!
"It was amazing to see how this 24-hour vigil gathered many people from all ages to sing, pray, and worship the Lord," Tomislav commented. "We were all together, praying and feeling the Lord doing miracles."
One of those miracles is that the abortion facility has reduced its business hours by more than half!
Tomislav said the enthusiasm he witnessed provides reason to hope that 40 Days for Life vigils will sweep across Austria.
Lancaster, California
The 40 Days for Life team in Lancaster organized a midpoint prayer walk and diaper drive. It was the campaign's largest event ever!
"More than 100 people came out to pray for the babies and help mothers in need by donating boxes of diapers for our local pregnancy crisis center," reported Mary Anne, the local leader. "Our enthusiasm was contagious. Honks, thumbs up, and cheers from passersby were abundant, and our pro-life message was well received by many in our local community!"

Beloved Father, remind us today that there is no truth but you. Do not let us fall prey to the evil one’s lie that we may choose death. Remind us right now that you, who created all life, are in control of all life, and let us choose life always. Keep lighting the pathway home, for us and for all who participate in this 40 Days for Life campaign.
