40 Days for Life leaders have reported a disturbing number of ambulances transporting women away from abortion facilities this fall.
But ambulances aren't the only troubling vehicles that have been spotted. One of the most heart-wrenching vehicles to appear is the medical waste truck that comes to retrieve the bodies of aborted children.
"Every Wednesday, babies are picked up in a rental truck," reported Kristina in Orange, California.
"Can I pray for them?" a vigil participant asked the driver of the truck.
"For the babies?" the driver responded, pausing to allow the volunteer to intercede.
The prayer warrior asked the man where he was taking the babies. His response was chilling.
"They are taken to a warehouse [and] then shipped off to another state where they are incinerated," he answered. "Because they don't allow 'garbage' to be incinerated in California."
Deacon David makes a habit of praying at the vigil on Wednesday for this exact reason.
“This is the only opportunity as a church we have to bless these babies," he explained. "I feel called at this time to be there…That is the primary reason I go."
Bournemouth, England
Vigil participants in Bournemouth also witnessed a white van remove the bodies of aborted babies. The sight led prayer warriors to hit their knees.
It wasn't all bad news. Paddy reached out to offer pregnancy support resources to 11 women--10 of whom accepted his literature.
The vigil participants hope that some of the moms opted to choose life after receiving the information.
Wichita, Kansas
Roberta was horrified when she witnessed an armored car arrive at the abortion facility to pick up money.
"It's something we expected to see at a [retail store], not an abortion facility," she said. "The implications speak for themselves. What a TRAGEDY!"
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
— 1 Peter 1:6-7
Dear Heavenly Father, we sing to You a new song, for You have done marvelous things. Forgive us when we allow circumstances to defeat us. You give power to the faint and You increase strength in those who have no might. We rest in You dear Lord, and ask You to empower us again for Your service as You work out Your plan for us and through us.
