Berwyn Heights and College Park, Maryland
Katherine has led the 40 Days for Life and 40 Days for Life 365 campaigns in College Park for years. When a late-term abortion facility opened in nearby Berwyn Heights, she quickly decided to bring a 40 Days for Life 365 campaign there as well.
Our director of campaign advancement and 40 Days for Life 365 Heather Gardner recently visited the new location for a combined campaign kickoff event.
"Katherine's team responded to the new abortion facility by identifying resources that help women who receive a difficult prenatal diagnosis. Vigil participants now have a local organization ready and willing to help women and their babies facing tragic circumstances," Heather explained. "She and her team pass out cards bearing a 3D sonogram on one side, a newborn photo on the other, and a phone number to call for help."
Basel, Switzerland
The 40 Days for Life team in Basel jump-started their community outreach efforts with a presence at Switzerland's March for Life.
About 1,500 pro-lifers united under the motto, "Be their voice."
"We were able to advertise our campaign in Basel," said the local leadership team. "The mood was very happy [as we gathered to] celebrate life and stand up for the unborn."
And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.

Lord, help us renew our gratitude for the joy that each child brings into our lives. We ask you to bless, keep, and cause your face to shine upon all unborn children—especially those with disabilities. Give parents supernatural strength and overwhelming support from their community to care for their child with special needs. Amen.
