Reports of babies saved at 40 Days for Life vigils are pouring in--from all around the world!
A mother in Redding, California, stopped to talk with a sidewalk counselor on her way into her abortion appointment. But instead of going through with the abortion, she visited the pregnancy resource center, where she chose life.
"What could be better than a life saved on day one?" asked Redding campaign leader Paul. "How about two lives saved?"
Later that same day, a mother with two young children came to Planned Parenthood because she feared she wouldn't be able to take care of a third.
Even after talking with sidewalk counselors, the woman went inside to pick up her abortion pills...but vigil participants never stopped praying for her.
That evening, the mom texted pro-lifers to let them know that she is eight weeks pregnant--and decided not to go through with the abortion!
"We are so grateful to God for the lives saved!" Paul noted.
Dosquebradas, Colombia
Vigil participants engaged an abortion-bound prostitute in a three-hour conversation.
"She was afraid of having a second baby in her situation," said Latin American campaign director Lourdes Varela. "The woman made many excuses...but in the end, she chose life!"
Arnhem, Holland
40 Days for Life executive director of international affairs Tomislav Čunović recently visited Arnhem, which is hosting its first campaign.
Just hours into the vigil, the team witnessed their first saved baby!
Craig saw a teary-eyed woman watching him pray. "She then walked into the abortion center and took her boyfriend out," reported the local leadership team. "They hugged each other, having made the decision not to continue with the abortion."
All who heard these things took them to heart, saying, "What, then, will this child be?" For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.

Lord, instill confidence and hope in every child. Help all children to grow up to see the purpose for which you made them. Give parents the wisdom and understanding to see the needs of each child and to nurture each child’s talents for your glory alone. Amen.
