Planned Parenthood preys upon young people, looking to drive a wedge between parents and their children.
When Ethel in Absecon, New Jersey, learned that a new abortion facility would open just a few hundred yards from a high school, she proactively launched a 40 Days for Life campaign...
...even though the abortion business hasn't yet opened.
"The lights are out and the sign is not up, [but] we have decided to educate the public about what is happening in their back yards," Ethel said.
The vigil is already bearing fruit with at least one baby saved from abortion!
"A young girl went by twice with her boyfriend," Ethel reported. "She came to tell me she is pregnant."
Ethel spoke with the young woman who just found out she is expecting.
"By the time she left, she said they would keep their baby," Ethel shared. "Isn’t God just amazing! The Light of Christ is brighter than any darkness when we count on Him to win."
Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas
Longtime Champaign, Illinois, 40 Days for Life leader Sandi recently got on the road and visited three 40 Days for Life vigils in three states over three days.
In addition to her home campaign, Sandi prayed in Columbia, Missouri, and Overland Park, Kansas.
"I am always amazed at the joy and love I feel when visiting a 40 Days for Life vigil site," she said. "Meeting new friends in Christ with the same burning desire to end abortion."
At both new locations, campaign leadership team members specifically came out to greet Sandi, who said that when she left Overland Park, she was replaced by a group of teens taking a four-hour shift!
"I can now add these two states to the seven others I have [joined vigils] in," she said. "I get a precious feet pin for each state to wear on my 40 Days for Life sweatshirt."
Thousand Oaks, California
Director of campaign advancement and 40 Days for Life 365 Heather Gardner recently visited Thousand Oaks, where she spoke and shared tips on Sidewalk Outreach.
"One man was delivering food to the abortion facility and stopped to talk with us on the way out," Heather recalled. "He said he didn't need any help, but once he was presented with information for others who may need help, he gladly accepted."
Heather then spoke at a rally held at a local church.
"One volunteer shared with me that she was growing weary and planned to stop praying on the sidewalk soon," Heather said. "However, after being here, she was more motivated than ever to keep going! She knew God meant for her to be at this event."
When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son."

Most loving God, please help the victims of abuse, trafficking, and broken relationships. Provide them with immediate and permanent safety from danger. In your loving arms, heal them from injuries--physical, psychological, and spiritual. Lead them to the best sources of support and healing. Bring comfort to all victims of abuse, and help children conceived in abusive situations to know they are loved by you. Amen.
