?The day was a rollercoaster of emotions,? said Tina, the 40 Days for Life leader in Flint.

Early in the morning, vigil participants watched as a couple drove into the abortion center lot and parked. The woman got out ? then got back in. They moved to another parking place, and this time both got out and walked towards the building.

?Can I talk to you for a minute?? Tina called to them. ?I'd come to you, but they'll call the police on me. They are protecting their bottom line. We want to protect your baby.?

The couple stood right outside the door for quite a while. But then they turned around and headed back to the car.

?The woman was wiping her eyes and appeared to be crying,? Tina said. ?The man seemed indifferent -- as if he would go along with either decision the woman made. Our volunteers will continue to pray for them and watch for their car.?

As she was preparing to leave the vigil, Tina saw one of the other volunteers was crying.

?She was staring at the cars, knowing the abortionist was inside, and her heart was breaking -- not only for the babies, but for the women.?

Later, the woman texted Tina, saying the abortionist had left the building, and she was watching women leaving the facility in pain.

?As I reflect now,? Tina said, ?it reminded me of Christ's Crucifixion when He says, ?It is finished.? Being there when the clients come out is by far, the most difficult shift of this vigil.?
