"Our prayerful, physical presence outside of the abortion clinic is highly effective," said Jo, the 40 Days for Life coordinator in Perth.

One young woman accepted information about support services ... and even spoke to a sidewalk advocate ... but still went into the abortion facility.

"After spending hours inside," Jo said, "she appeared outside again, with huge relief and happiness on her face and came and told us all that she had decided to keep her baby!"

She added, "we are making a difference."
