Illinois got what it wanted.
The Land of Lincoln sadly joined the list of other states who want to expand abortion and infanticide. Illinois is now targeting the women of its pro-life neighbor (Missouri).
The Planned Parenthood in St. Louis is a mess but, thankfully, the site of a great 40 Days for Life campaign led by Brian Westbrook.
The facility has seen at least 80 ambulance visits over the last decade.
The St. Louis abortion center lost its license this summer, and now even Planned Parenthood looks ready to bail on the last remaining abortion facility in Missouri. The abortion giant recently announced the opening of an 18,000 square foot abortion center just across the Mississippi River.
Just miles away from St. Louis, the facility is located in Illinois--home to some of the country's most radical pro-abortion laws.
Knowing the facility would be unpopular in Southern Illinois, Planned Parenthood kept construction secret until the building was completed.
Last week, 40 Days for Life Director of Medical Affairs & Education Dr. Haywood Robinson spoke to hundreds of pro-lifers rallying in front of the new abortion facility.
"The rally was an immense success," Dr. Robinson said. "I was encouraged by the number of black pro-lifers attending, two who delivered powerful messages. Lots of youth were in attendance, in addition to two state legislators."
Longtime Missouri 40 Days for Life leaders Kathy Forck and Brian Westbrook also addressed attendees.
"Unfortunately the construction is complete," Haywood said. "But, our God can perform miracles."
Worcester, Massachusetts
Lee in Worcester believed her team saved a baby from abortion the final weekend of this year's spring campaign...but then the situation took a turn for the worse.
"Bad news. We JUST got a call from the counselor, and the woman is wavering again!" Lee wrote at the time. "We will keep praying."
Six months later, Lee provided an update on the situation: the mom chose life after all!
"It was touch-and-go for a while, but the woman is now seven months pregnant."
The best things in life truly are worth waiting for!
El Cajon, California
Becky from El Paso, Texas missed her weekly prayer shift at the local 40 Days for Life vigil because she was out of town.
That didn't stop her from praying for an end to abortion, however.
"A woman approached and asked if she could pray with us," said Vicki, the campaign leader in El Cajon, California. "Becky prays in El Paso on Saturdays. She is visiting her family here in El Cajon and wanted to make up her prayer time with us!"
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand.
— Ephesians 6:12-13
Dear Lord, as you lead us into the spiritual battle of abortion may we be reminded that the battle is truly Yours. Thank you for hearing our requests for direction and protection. Thank you for the victory that is ours because of Your Son Jesus, amen.
