After a beautiful but arduous eight hour drive through the Rocky Mountains, the UNITED tour just had one of our biggest events yet: the Montana state rally in Helena.
Despite Montana being a less-populated state, more than 200 people packed the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood -- singing, praying, standing up for life ? and drawing the attention of multiple media outlets, which came out to cover the event.
The pastor who opened the event in prayer had previously served at a church in Texas, where he regularly prayed outside the abortion center in College Station where 40 Days for Life began.
Someone apparently connected with Planned Parenthood called the police on us, complaining about noise and that the bus was "parked unsafely" -- but the officers who came out were incredibly professional and supportive, defending our right to be there.
As our bus pulled away at the end of the event, a large group continued with their 40 Days for Life vigil in the dark, singing "Amazing Grace."
