107 abortion facilities have closed forever following a 40 Days for Life campaign.
But 40 Days for Life vigils often lead abortion centers to shut down temporarily or to reduce business hours as the vigil deters customers.
Joe in Chicago was delighted to report that the abortion facility where he holds vigil was unexpectedly closed this past Saturday.
"[Saturday] has been, by far, their busiest day of the week for months now," Joe said. "Praise God!"
It's no surprise that abortion centers scale back operations during 40 Days for Life campaigns.
The presence of peaceful prayer warriors impacts their bottom line dramatically, increasing abortion no-show rates (to as high as 75%), distracting workers, increasing employee turnover, and reducing profit margin.
Numerous 40 Days for Life leaders have reported unexpectedly closed abortion facilities over these first two weeks of the campaign.
Redding, California
On a typical Wednesday, 6 to 12 babies lose their lives to abortion at Planned Parenthood in Redding.
That changed when 40 Days for Life began this fall.
"We are happy to report that no abortions occurred today," wrote Paul, the local leader. "Their parking lot was nearly empty all morning, and the abortion doctor never showed up."
While Planned Parenthood was empty, the sidewalk was full. Paul said more than 25 people showed up to pray and were pleased to learn no lives would be lost that day.
El Paso, Texas
Vigil participants in El Paso noticed the Planned Parenthood abortion facility where they pray hadn't been open for a few days.
Shortly thereafter, they saw a notice that the facility was closed for the entire week!
"This means that this week there have been ZERO abortions within El Paso city limits!" said Mark, who oversees El Paso area 40 Days for Life campaigns. "Even temporary closures can save lives and negatively impact the abortion business."
Sarasota, Florida
Saturday is typically an abortion day in Sarasota...but not anymore!
Previously, five abortion staffers arrived to work beginning at 8:00 am. But Rich noted that lately, the only people entering the parking lot on Saturday have been an administrative employee and the waste management professional.
"Let's pray this is permanent," Rich said.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
— Ephesians 4:31-32
Dearest God, You tell us in Proverbs that the foolish and the wicked lack wisdom and understanding. I pray you will trouble the souls of those in the abortion industry so that they hunger for truth and cry out for freedom.
