It's been a decade since Robert Colquhoun brought the first 40 Days for Life campaign to London.
From public apathy in a largely secularized country to the outright persecution from kamikaze bicyclists and horse manure attacks, the task seemed impossible.
But 10 years later, British 40 Days for Life campaigns have saved more than 1,000 babies from abortion and have grown to 13 cities, including one of the UK's most socially liberal towns: Brighton.
Brighton's first-time vigil leader Sheridan found the cultural climate in his city so daunting that he nearly gave up.
On today's video blog, Director of International Campaigns Robert Colquhoun talks with Sheridan about how God suddenly transformed the failing vigil into a success story, including an apparent abortion center turnaround!

Vigil participants in Madrid were shocked to witness two coffins transported from the abortion facility to a van waiting outside.
It remains unclear why coffins were needed, but Pamela said the scene was a powerful and tangible reminder of what abortion is and what it does.
"You realize again that abortion is murder and is dangerous even if it is legal," she said.
Nairobi, Kenya
Kenya is hosting five 40 Days for Life campaigns this fall--including four in Nairobi, the country's capital.
Tobias, one of the leaders in Nairobi, has made community outreach a focus of his campaign. He recently visited Mathare Slum, where more than a thousand families stay, to educate residents on chastity and the harms of abortion. He also brought gifts.
"It was a joyous day and excellent since I put a smile on the girls' and the ladies' faces and saved their tomorrow too," Tobias said.
If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant when they complained against me, what then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him? Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?
—Job 31:13-15
God, forgive us when we try to explain away the obligation we have to help others who need help. Enable us to not devalue them because they are in the circumstance that they are in, but to see them for what they are, those, who like us, were formed by your hand in their mother’s womb. Amen.
