Abortion supporters clamor for "safe, legal abortion."
There's just one problem: there's no such thing as a safe abortion.
Not only does abortion kill a child but it also poses grave risks to the baby's mother.
40 Days for Life participants are all-too-aware of the dangers of abortion, as they've witnessed numerous ambulances arrive to tend to abortion facility clients this fall.
Mark in Columbia, South Carolina recently witnessed an ambulance transport a woman away from Planned Parenthood. "This is the second time this year," Mark noted.
Vigil participants spoke with the woman's support person, who drove her to the abortion facility.
"She told us that she has a baby of her own in the NICU that she had planned to abort," Mark said. "She came for the abortion three times, but each time saw our people on the sidewalk and couldn’t go through with it!"
Unfortunately, the ambulance in Columbia is far from an isolated incident. Emergency vehicles have been reported at numerous abortion facilities.
Orange, California
Kristina described the arrival of a fire truck and paramedics at the Orange Planned Parenthood as "a sad sight, but not an uncommon one. The apparent boyfriend waits, then watches a woman get rolled out on a stretcher and taken away by an ambulance."
Kristina said the ambulance left with sirens blaring while vigil participants prayed for the injured woman inside it.
Nashville, Tennessee
Courtney sent photos of an ambulance and a fire truck arriving at Nashville's Planned Parenthood.
"The young lady came out on a stretcher," Courtney reported. "Lord, have mercy!"
Courtney asked for prayers for everyone affected by the destruction taking place inside the abortion center.
Manhattan, New York
Planned Parenthood's flagship abortion facility in Manhattan is also no stranger to ambulance visits.
Laurie, the local 40 Days for Life leader, shared that DOZENS of ambulances have shown up to carry women out.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction so that we may be able to encourage those who are in an affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love, mercy, and goodness. We praise you for the gift of life and the conviction to defend it at all stages. Father, give us the grace to walk alongside of and pray for those poor souls who are so greatly afflicted in their souls. Help us to be compassionate, but bold and courageous, as we defend what is true and just. As the division in our world increases, let us be the unitive light that draws souls to your goodness, love and mercy. Amen.
