Scripture is rooted in history...
...but the characters, the struggles, and the lessons of the Bible continue to play out in everyday life.
That's especially true during a 40 Days for Life campaign. Over and over again, Scripture comes alive on the sidewalk.
On this episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we examine 7 scenes straight from the Bible that you experience when you pray at your local 40 Days for Life campaign:

Salvation history is dramatic...and that remains true in the present day.
40 Days for Life participants are reporting incredible stories of moms and babies saved from abortion--even in the most desperate of situations!
Facatativa, Colombia
Vigil participants in Facatativa received a plea for help for a woman who had an abortion scheduled--even as she was 8-and-a-half months pregnant!
"We immediately began to pray for her," the local team reported.
Prayer warriors had a hard time reaching the troubled mom...but eventually, they connected with the young woman's family.
"We learned that the night before, the mommy gave birth to a girl," wrote Facatativa vigil participants. "Relatives told us they saw us on the sidewalk praying, and despite so many difficulties, it is always good to choose life."
Campaign volunteers continue to support and visit the woman and her family.
Tuluá, Colombia
Vigil participants in Tuluá also helped save a baby from a late-third-trimester abortion.
A woman in her final month of pregnancy faced many challenges--including financial difficulties.
Fortunately for her and her baby, she encountered the local 40 Days for Life campaign, which accompanied her to a pregnancy help center. She opted against the late-term abortion she had planned and chose life.
"Thanks to all the praying people," said the campaign team. "May all this be for the glory of God."
I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
— Romans 12:1
God Almighty, You alone are worthy of our praise and worship. Having accepted Your Son’s sacrifice on my behalf, I in turn present my body to you as a living sacrifice. I pray that you would use me as your vessel to rescue others who are perishing.
