There's nothing better than the news that a child has been saved from abortion in response to YOUR prayers...
...and those reports are coming in from all over the 40 Days for Life world!
A young, sullen-looking couple arrived at the abortion facility in Rockford, Illinois, and took a LONG look at the sign held by 40 Days for Life participants.
The sign depicted an adorable little boy wearing a bowtie, an illustration of an unborn baby, and the message, "That Was Me...When I was a Whole Lot Younger."
The abortion-bound parents entered the facility anyway--but they didn't stay long!
A few minutes later, the parents exited, informed sidewalk counselors that they decided against abortion, and took some photos of the sign that saved their baby's life.
"The couple was filled with joy, happiness, and life, and they even stayed for a few minutes with the sidewalk counselor," wrote Kevin, the Rockford 40 Days for Life leader. "All praise and thanks to our Lord Jesus and thank you to all involved with 40 Days for Life around the world and in Rockford."
Huaraz, Peru
A young woman concerned that her friend was planning to have an abortion called Aromy, the local 40 Days for Life leader--but didn't connect.
Fortunately, the Huaraz 40 Days for Life team's helpline connected the abortion-minded woman with another campaign volunteer, resulting in a two-hour conversation!
The expectant mother didn't choose life during that call...but she did agree to have an ultrasound the next day.
Vigil participants took her to a pro-life clinic where she met her baby boy face-to-face through the sonogram and chose life!
Tuluá, Colombia
A young woman in Colombia received a prenatal diagnosis indicating her baby had a malformation, so she was contemplating having an abortion.
Fortunately, the expectant mother's friend heard a 40 Days for Life advertisement on the radio and called the contact number for help.
"The volunteers took the young mother to the help center," reported 40 Days for Life director of Latin American campaigns Lourdes Varela. "They sought a second medical opinion and did an ultrasound. The girl chose life!"
All who heard these things took them to heart, saying, "What, then, will this child be?" For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.

Lord, instill confidence and hope in every child. Help all children to grow up to see the purpose for which you made them. Give parents the wisdom and understanding to see the needs of each child and to nurture each child’s talents for your glory alone. Amen.
