Praise God for amazing results as we know of 290 babies saved from abortion through your prayers since September 23!
A crying woman approached the Manchester, New Hampshire 40 Days for Life vigil.
"What do you have to offer me?" she asked on-site prayer volunteers.
Neither the young woman nor her husband wanted an abortion. But the expectant mom's own mother pressured her to terminate the pregnancy
The sobbing mother already had a toddler at home, and Grandma thought a second child would be too much to handle. But upon learning of the pregnancy help resources available, the vulnerable woman chose life.
Shortly after the expectant mother arrived to Planned Parenthood, her father-in-law arrived.
"The baby's grandfather was totally opposed to abortion," wrote Beth, the local leader. "He had just recently learned one of his daughters had an abortion."
So when his daughter-in-law chose life, the grandfather was overjoyed and stopped to thank the Manchester vigil participants.
Concord, California
Marlene reported that a "noticeably young" couple visited the Concord abortion facility. Having recently learned they were expecting, they appeared scared.
Volunteers on the sidewalk ramped up their prayers--which were answered!
Before long, the young mom came out of Planned Parenthood, announcing that she had chosen life. Marlene said the couple had "big smiles on their faces" as they drove off--a stark contrast from the fear with which they arrived.
Sioux City, Iowa
Neither Kristi nor her prayer partner Kristie were planning to join the Sioux City vigil one recent Saturday morning...but when the Holy Spirit called, they responded. And it's a good thing they did.
Two women passing by saw Kristi and Kristie's "Pray to end abortion" signs at the vigil site and stopped to ask, "Why should we pray to end abortion?"
In the ensuing conversation, one of the passersby admitted she was five weeks pregnant--and considering abortion. But the help offered by Kristi and Kristie persuaded her to rule out abortion as an option!
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
— Philippians 2:5-8
O Lord, help us follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Let us humbly and diligently work to restore legal protection for the unborn, the disabled, the medically dependent and all innocent children of God whose lives are threatened. Let us remember the old adage that “He can never lead who has not first learned to obey.” And, Lord, grant us a peaceful heart as we labor in your name.
