40 Days for Life participants in Hollywood, Florida rejoiced when a young mother told them she decided to choose life.
"Her boyfriend didn't want the baby, and she came here for an abortion," reported Nancy, the longtime campaign leader in Hollywood. "But now, she changed her mind."
The mom knelt on the ground and asked for the prayer volunteers to pray for her.
"Team Hollywood encircled her and prayed for her and her baby," Nancy said. "She was excited to hear about Respect Life Pregnancy Center down the street and took information.
Unfortunately, the story doesn't have a happy ending.
"What we had hoped was a save was not," Nancy said the next day. "Sadly, she returned today hiding herself from those who prayed for her yesterday."
Did the woman's boyfriend pressure--or even force--her to get an abortion?
It's impossible to say, but please pray for all involved in this tragic loss of life.
Aurora, Illinois
Nicole noticed that a woman in the parking lot of Planned Parenthood's abortion mega-facility in Aurora was watching her.
After a short while, the woman got in her car and left.
"You are a great person," she told Nicole with a wave as she departed Planned Parenthood.
Nicole deserves the affirmation. She makes a two-and-a-half-hour round-trip drive to Aurora each week to join the vigil.
Lakewood, California
Saturday is the busiest abortion day in America...
...but this past Saturday, 40 Days for Life participants in Lakewood, California arrived to the vigil and found Planned Parenthood unexpectedly closed.
"Could it be that our 'Friday Faithful' group is having an impact?" asked Lynda, the campaign leader. "I certainly think so. They get a lot of positive attention and support out there with honks, smiles, waves and thumbs ups. The kind of attention Planned Parenthood doesn't want."
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand.
— Ephesians 6:12-13
Dear Lord, as you lead us into the spiritual battle of abortion may we be reminded that the battle is truly Yours. Thank you for hearing our requests for direction and protection. Thank you for the victory that is ours because of Your Son Jesus, amen.
