Cali, Colombia
Local campaign leader Lina received an urgent plea for help from a woman whose friend was pregnant--and abortion-minded.
The mother thought the "Morning After Pill" would prevent her from conceiving, but she recently confirmed she is six weeks pregnant.
Lina couldn't persuade the woman to choose life...but the abortion appointment ultrasound did!
"By chance, the girl heard the heartbeat of her baby on the ultrasound," reported 40 Days for Life Latin American Affairs Coordinator Lourdes Varela. "The doctor gave her pills to abort, but she no longer wanted them."
The child's father wanted to take the young mom back to the abortion facility. But the mom contacted Lina for help, and with the support of 40 Days for Life volunteers, she is planning to share the happy news with her family.
Tyler, Texas
Somebody isn't happy about the impact made by 40 Days for Life participants in Tyler.
"Someone stole all our signs," reported Ann, the local leader. "I was so discouraged, but then I found them in the creek."
Ann scaled down the bank to pick the signs out of the muck. Her team remains undeterred and continues to maintain a presence in front of Planned Parenthood while they await a fresh shipment of new signs!
