There's no more divisive topic than abortion.
But hearts can and DO change on the topic because most abortion supporters don't actually know what they're supporting.
A bicyclist in Yuba City, California unloaded a barrage of stale pro-abortion talking points on 40 Days for Life vigil participants:
- "Women have a choice. It's called bodily autonomy."
- "It's just a clump of cells."
- "Human life has no value."
But campaign co-leader JC was ready. She first got the man to acknowledge that killing a baby after birth is wrong. When she asked him why the child has rights the day after birth but not the day before, he acknowledged late-term abortion is wrong.
JC continued to walk him back through pregnancy until he agreed abortion is wrong after 10 weeks, 8 weeks, 7 weeks.
Finally, he admitted, "I think you might actually have changed my mind."
In addition to describing the humanity of unborn babies throughout pregnancy, JC also explained the racism implicit in abortion and the horrors of sex-selection abortion.
She even helped him understand why abortion is NOT a compassionate response to sexual assault.
A few days after their initial visit, the bicyclist returned to the vigil to confirm that JC had indeed changed his mind on abortion!

Virginia Beach, Virginia
It's well-documented that public prayer in front of an abortion facility saves lives...
...but the power of prayer can extend even to abortion facilities other than the one where you are standing (or kneeling)!
Cheri in Virginia Beach serves with both the local 40 Days for Life campaign AND a local pregnancy help organization. She said that during a 40 Days for Life campaign, the pregnancy help ministry sees an increase in women deciding NOT to abort at ALL the area abortion facilities.
"I have always witnessed an increase in moms choosing life at the other two abortion clinics even though our 40 Days for Life campaign is held at (just one location)," Cheri reported.
Mobile, Alabama
George is leading his first 40 Days for Life campaign in Mobile and he's pulling out all the stops to get pro-lifers out to the sidewalk.
"We will include a fun run/walk two mile Race for Life [to get pro-lifers fired up to pray]," he reported.
The Mobile team also initiated a "Sidewalk Sidekicks Program," which pairs up experienced vigil participants with first-timers to help newbies overcome fear and build confidence in praying publicly.
