We have two weeks to go, and God has answered your prayers by saving 142 moms and babies from abortion...that we know of!
A lonely-looking woman--no car, no purse, no jacket, no boyfriend--appeared at the 40 Days for Life vigil site in Spring Valley, New York.
Gazing at the Spanish 40 Days for Life signs, she told vigil participants she needed help.
"No aborto?" a prayer warrior asked.
"No aborto," the woman confirmed.
Through broken Spanish and with the help of a translation phone app, campaign volunteers learned that the woman had just had an appointment at Planned Parenthood, but she was hesitant to go through with the abortion.
"Who knows what her circumstances were?" said a vigil participant. "But one thing we knew--you could see it in her eyes--she didn't want to go back to the abortion provider."
Teamwork helped find the expectant mother a way out of returning to Planned Parenthood.
Vigil participants called a priest, who called a translator, who helped arrange for the woman to visit a nearby pregnancy help center.
"She smiled, and we escorted her [to the pregnancy center, where] we were greeted with smiles and open arms at the door," the 40 Days for Life team reported. "God is good."

Iowa City, Iowa
An Iowa man dropped his wife off at the abortion facility...but then he met Sheryl, the longtime Iowa City 40 Days for Life leader.
"I shared information with him about the many community resources available to help them give life to their baby," Sheryl recalled. "I told him that God loves them and their baby and showed him where my name and number were on the brochure."
The man thanked her and went on his way, and vigil participants continued to pray for him and his family.
A week later, the couple drove more than 50 miles back to the abortion facility--just to thank 40 Days for Life volunteers for providing the support they needed to choose life!
"I was not there, but our prayer team was there to connect this family with pregnancy care resources available near their home," Sheryl reported. "The precious life saved from abortion is the fourth child for this family! We will continue to stay in contact and support them with any resources they may need!"
West Palm Beach, Florida
40 Days for Life participants in West Palm Beach met a young woman who stopped to talk after leaving her appointment at the abortion facility.
One volunteer offered her help--and a referral to a nearby pregnancy help center. The expectant mom accepted the invitation...and returned to the vigil later that day to confirm that she chose life and to thank volunteers for praying for her in the rain!
"What you are doing here is changing people's lives," the mother said.
