It wouldn't be a spring 40 Days for Life campaign without some challenging weather!
But challenges bear fruit, as the sight of people praying in tough conditions inspires MORE women to choose life!
Prayer warriors in Aurora, Colorado, were covered by a wintery mix of snow and slush. It didn't come from the sky, however, but from an angry passerby who splashed them on purpose.
"The prayerful family did not even react as we all became covered in slush from head to toe," wrote Aurora campaign leader Lisa.
Another motorist shouted, "They don't do abortion there."
Of course, that isn't true. Aurora's Planned Parenthood sells dangerous and deadly abortion pills--and makes a pretty penny off of them.
"During our first campaign at this location in September of 2022, the abortion pill cost $560. In March 2023 it cost $600. And as of February 2024, it cost $625," Lisa explained. "Not including an ultrasound."
Granite City, Illinois
The 40 Days for Life team that stands vigil in front of a notorious late-term abortion facility in southwestern Illinois received confirmation that praying in inclement weather saves lives.
"Despite the heavy snow, prayer partners still came out to pray for the unborn," Rose said. "They were motivated by a mom who told a prayer partner that she changed her mind!"
Praise God for a saved life!
Eugene, Oregon
On the West Coast, 40 Days for Life volunteers weren't blanketed by snow...
...but they were soaked with rain.
"The weather never for a minute dampened the spirits and resolve of the faithful front-line prayer warriors here in Eugene," said Eileen, the campaign leader.
Concord, California
Down the coast about 500 miles, the vigil participants in Concord got wet too!
"The Lord sent many prayer warriors to pray in the rain," wrote Marlene.
As the local leader, Marlene gave her local police department a heads-up that they would be standing vigil and was delighted by the helpful response she received.
"They later called me and left me a REALLY nice, professional voicemail letting me know that they would be conducting periodic extra patrols."
Then the devil took him up to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their magnificence, and he said to him, "All these I shall give to you, if you will prostrate yourself and worship me.”

Lord, help each of us overcome the temptation of discouragement. Give us the perseverance to follow your will and remember that you hear our prayers even when we don’t see the results. If it is your will, use us to save more lives than we will know in this lifetime. Amen.
