Well, we said it was going to be cold at many of the 354 locations taking part in the 40 Days for Life campaign that starts tomorrow.
And it is!
But regardless of the weather, getting out to pray and fast for an end to abortion over these next 40 days is critical ? and it's an opportunity to actually help save lives where you live.

Through 40 Days for Life, it's possible to prayerfully reach out and change hearts and minds -- women who are pondering abortions ... passersby on the street ... and even the people who work in the abortion business and see your public witness through the windows of their buildings.

Here's a quick look at some 40 Days for Life kickoff events ... yes, including a few places where it's very, very cold!
Augusta, Maine
It's not unusual to find people praying in the snow outside the abortion center in Augusta.
This is the eleventh 40 Days for Life campaign there ... and despite the harshness of Maine winters, nearly all of these campaigns have taken place in the Lenten season. Hopefully it will be warmer by the end of the campaign on March 25!
Grand Rapids, Michigan
Snow on the ground was not enough to stop the kickoff of the 17th 40 Days for Life campaign in Grand Rapids.
"We did it!" one of the Grand Rapids team members said as the event concluded. "We found parking, we prayed and we had some good fellowship afterwards. Thank you to all who could make it."
Timisoara, Romania
The kickoff event for Timisoara's second 40 Days for Life vigil got the attention from passersby ... and the local media.
"We want to raise public awareness of the value of intrauterine life and draw attention to the negative consequences of abortion, first of all on women, and then on the entire Romanian society," one of the Timisoara team members told a newspaper reporter.
"We want to be a voice of unborn children, asking God to stop abortions."
