Westchester County, New York, is trying to crush the local 40 Days for Life campaign.
This past summer, the county's board of legislators enacted a sweeping crackdown on First Amendment-protected pro-life activities, including Sidewalk Outreach.
The law is so vague--and its penalties so severe--that numerous pro-lifers have stopped exercising their free speech rights out of fear of crippling punishment.
The good news is that Westchester County's attack on peaceful 40 Days for Life volunteers is so outrageous, it won't survive a court challenge.
40 Days for Life has sued to block enforcement of the law, and the consequences have the potential to go far beyond New York.
