The dehumanization of vulnerable Americans is exactly what we've come to expect from the nation's highest court. From slavery to civil rights abuses to abortion, the Supreme Court has long dehumanized our most innocent brothers and sisters. It's America at it's worst.
Today, the Supreme Court ruled that health and safety regulations governing Louisiana's abortion facilities are unconstitutional.
As the Court's deciding vote, Chief Justice John Roberts admitted he disagrees with the ruling...but sided with it anyway to go along with the Court's historical precedent.
This betrayal will cost countless unborn babies their lives and further restrict how states can regulate a highly unregulated and dirty abortion industry.
The decision is a reminder that we vote pro-life so we can get needed new justices. More importantly, it is a reminder there is no silver bullet to ending abortion. It's barbaric and an abomination to God, which is why we must put Him first as we pray, fast, and confront abortion where it happens.
Tomorrow's 40 Days for Life Podcast episode will feature a breakdown of today's tragic news.
Our hearts are heavy, but every baby saved, every abortion worker who quits, and every facility closed shows that with God, we can win and are winning the battle for life at the most important level--the local level.
